| Favorite movies | Horror flicks from Night of the Living Dead / early Romero to Asian horror/psychological thrillers like Oldboy, and The Evil Dead trilogy. (Bruce Campbell is pretty amazing). I also love spaghetti westerns with Clint Eastwood, anything by Quentin Tarrantino, The Coen Brothers (Especially the Big Lebowski and O' Brother) or Wes Anderson (with the exception of the Life Aquatic, I fucking hated that movie), Good Will Hunting, Trainspotting, Forrest Gump, The Goonies, The Princess Bride, and of course, zombie movies. |
| Favorite music | I like roots music, folk, bluegrass, 70's punk, 80's metal,90's grunge, hip-hop, classic rock, blues and jazz, reggae that doesn't involve Bob Marley... too many genres to name. I mostly play blues on the guitar and harmonica. Bands / Musicians / Composers... Time to name drop: Peter Laughner, Nirvana, Tom Waits, Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Elliott Smith, PJ Harvey, Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Blind Melon, The Wipers, Iggy and the Stooges, The Ramones, The Misfits, PIXIES, Rocket From the Tombs, John Lee Hooker, Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Mississippi John Hurt, Little Walter, Bela Fleck, David Grisman, Edgar Meyer, The Rolling Stones, Tribe Called Quest, Wu-Tang Clan, Notorious B.I.G., Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, David Grisman, Tony Rice, Ralph Stanley, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Eek-A-Mouse, Barrington Levy, Modest Mouse, Metallica.... ... that's all I can think of right now... |
| Favorite books | I love to read when I have the time. A few favorite authors are: Vonnegut, Hemingway, Tom Robbins, Bukowski, Khalil Gibran, Dostoevsky, and Salinger... specific books not by the aforementioned authors would be Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Kesey, On The Road by Kerouac, and all of Martin Luther King Jr's speeches. |
