| Introduction | I grew up in the beautiful mountains of Nagano, Japan. Moving to Portland, OR, I studied for my bachelors degree in piano performance. I moved to Great Britain, initially to pursue a masters of arts in historical musicology with a thesis which focused on innovative forms of music notation. Ongoing intrest in this has led me to participate in performances of graphic scores with Vocal Constructivists a London-based ensemble. Currently I am finishing my PhD which specifically explores 14th-century English music treatises. This is a blog containing my experiences, thoughts and many different interests.
