Introduction I worked in public schools for 13 years as a teacher, assistant principal, and elementary and middle school principal before jumping full time into my doctoral studies at UT-Austin. I now teach in the Educational Leadership program in the College of Education at Texas Christian University.

Try making up the rules to a game where you tie knots in a yo-yo string just to see if you can get them out:

Step 1: tie lots of knots in a string. Step 2: Soak the string in water. Step 3: Tighten knots, allow string to dry thoroughly. Step 4: Experience frustration.
