| Introduction | Not quite sure what to put here yet, but I feel it would be dishonest to leave it blank. I am a 62-year-old retired engineer, divorced 10 years ago by my Chinese wife. My mission in life is to re-establish patriarchy, to restore a balance between men and women in western society. I must confess my recent history has been a nightmare: I have been gaoled for five years (for threatening my ex-wife's life in court); and then detained for a further 5 years under the Mental Health Act, initially for refusing to give up that threat. I still believe I did the right thing, after 24 years of being the weakest husband you could image, but I have to admit that almost nobody agrees with me. As part of my recovery, I am attending a two-year computer programming course at my local college (HND, for those of you living in Britain). This is providing me with a new lease in life, in preparation for returning to real society. (An ancient such as I does not qualify as a true student, despite 'ageist' protestations to the contrary.) |
