| Introduction | Hi, I'm Bob Zeni and welcome to Let's Grow Tomatoes. I'm a Master Gardener, sufferer of OGD (Obsessive Gardening Disorder) and a tomato-growing fanatic. If you love tomatoes, then you need to grow them yourself. Those things sold at grocery stores and thrown into salads at restaurants? Those are not tomatoes. They choose those things based on size, shape, texture, cost, color, and shipability. Everything but taste. And most of them are hybrids. Ick! When you grow them yourself you will savor the magnificent flavor of a real tomato. It's truly a wonderful experience. Not as easy as pulling one from a gargantuan bin at a mega-store. But certainly – and always – worth the effort. So let's get going. Let's grow tomatoes. |
