Location Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom
Introduction Cult TV began in 1983 as a Student Union Society at Wolverhampton University (then a Polytechnic), England. Alex J Geairns (aka alex:g) is the Producer of Cult TV Insider, the podcast. Via a fan magazine, events, and then a series of annual charity benefit Festivals from 1994 to 2007, Cult TV has become a well-known source of information on the best in fictional television from the past and present, as well as crystal-ball gazing to what the future may hold. Cult TV is a route map to not only popular series, but also those shows that have gone off the beaten track. We celebrate not only the stars in front of us on the screen, but also those behind the scenes whose expertise is responsible for creating the magic that we so much admire. You can find out more at http://www.cult.tv
Interests All forms of Cult TV (which EXCLUDES soaps, reality and game shows - don't let anyone tell you anything different), TV-related Memorabilia, and the tricks of the trade in the realms of script writing, special effects, stunt work, costume making, make-up, puppetry, animation, directing and producing.
Favorite Movies Cult TV is always drawn to big screen adaptions of TV formats, and also films that became TV formats in the course of time
Favorite Music Most Cult TV enthusiasts seem to have a leaning towards TV themes, but also music of the 1980s, too.
Favorite Books The Harlan Ellison Hornbook, The Complete Directory of American Network TV Series, The Radio Times Guide to TV Comedy, etc.

Never mind the turtle. Don't you think you're sure to win?

Is RE-IMAGINING just a term for writers who are too lazy to find a way to make a classic TV format work in the 21st Century without changing fundamentals?
