| Introduction | I am a 39 year old transplanted Jersey Girl.Who is a little more liberal then most conservative believers would like her to be. But hey I am working through it. Who has an accent when she is expressing very strong feelings. Either good or bad. At least this is what my friends in Arizona tell me. I have found being in the desert and living here. I am in fact a desert rat. I love my fall and winter when it is still 60 degrees during the day and 30 at night. I love the fact I do not have to clean off the car to go to work. I love I do not have to put on layer upon layer of clothes in the winter to take out the trash or move the car. The summers are not bad the smell of rain before and after a monsoon or the cool breeze after the storm. I do miss Jersey produce. That first tomatoe harvest or sweet corn. Believe me my father still loves to call and rub in they are grilling. There are just many times over the past 10 years I wish this beautiful country of ours would shrink so I could be with my family. As my mother always taught me "blood is thicker then water." |
