| Introduction | Leonie has been a parent advocate since 1997. She became involved in the class size issue when her daughter was in the 1st grade, with 28 other children in the class. Her daughter's teacher confided that she prayed for the days when a few children were absent because she was able to teach so much more effectively. Soon after, Leonie began working for the Educational Priorities Panel as a consultant on the class size issue. She founded Class Size Matters in 2000. |
