Frustrations of a Filipino Pharmacist

Introduction	Almost 2 years ago, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy with prospects of a great carreer and a bright future ahead of me. Upon entering the real world of my profession however, I was introduced to the ugly truth that I was in a country where pharmacists are only as good as the validity of their license and to the sad reality that our license, not our service, is needed. I am writing this blog in order to: 1) Give highschool students a hindsight of what they might be delving into just in case they want to study Pharmacy; 2) To give fresh grads a little idea of what they've just gotten themselves into; 3) For the non-pharmacists, to give you a piece of my mind; 4) For everyone else, to let you know what Filipino Pharmacists are going through; and 5) Just for laughs for the people already in my predicament. My practice is in the community setting, and so my writings will reflect only that field of Pharmacy. Also, most, if not all, of what I'll be writing will be rants, and as you know, rants tend to be negative. If you dislike negativity, don't read. You have been warned.
