| Introduction | Ted Smith is the fifth son of inventor Walt Smith. He took over the Melobar company after Walt died and ran it for 12 years building over 2000 Melobar Lap Steels, Standup Steels, Resonator Melobros. He sold Melobar to Jim Frost to follow a career in the Pesticide industry and publish a series of books in business and Christian Action Adventure. Recently Jim Frost dropped Melobar and Smith has built a few guitars for select players. |
