| Introduction | Hi - I'm Denise Svenson, and I am very excited to join the ACMS team this year. I graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute a long time ago and earned dual degrees, a BS in Building Technology and a Bachelor’s of Architecture. I was born and raised in Williamsport, Pennsylvania with my two sisters. I moved to Atlanta with her husband, Staffan in 1995, just in time to see some of the Olympics. After practicing architecture for six years, I earned a Master’s degree in Middle School Education with a concentration in Middle School Mathematics, and then worked for Atlanta Public schools teaching fourth and fifth grade for three years. From 2004 until 2007, I taught fifth grade at Neighborhood Charter School, after which, she was a stay at home mom and part-time architect. Last year, I taught sixth and seventh grade math at Imagine Wesley International Academy. I enjoy garden design and gardening, as well as playing tennis and playing with my kids. I live in Ormewood Park with my husband, Staffan, and two children, Liv and Oskar. |
