Introduction	Born and raised in Alaska, The Gubna spent a number of summers commercial fishing for salmon and working as a deckhand on charter boats. Camping (survival) trips always included trout fishing as much for food as anything. Too many fish as a youngster resulted in a period of about 10 years with very little fishing until an innocent trip to the Smokies with Brown Trout Zilen re-ignited the flame, and fly fishing became the game. Soon thereafter, on the first of many fly fishing camping trips to the Smokies, The Gubna took office. Along with Doc, Brown Trout Zilen (Easy E, the Big Easy), and a random cast of others, so exists The Crew: A unique group of characters from Alaska, Canada, Colorado, Tennessee, and elsewhere.
