| Introduction | I'm not your typical housewife. I was born and raised in North Denver (For you hipsters out there: if you call it "Highlands" one more time, I'm going to punch you in your skinny, pale throat.) and "moving up" for us was moving to West Denver. I moved to Southern California to attend college. After moving back home to Colorado from Southern California, we decided to buy a home and raise our kids in hard-core, WASP suburbia... now I'm one of five Mexicans who live here (and no, I'm not the nanny). When I'm not playing with the kiddos or volunteering, you can usually find me barefoot, cooking in my kitchen. (Notice how I didn't say barefoot and pregnant? Like I said, I'm not your typical Mexican housewife.) |
