| Introduction | I'm a musicologist whose research specialty is compositional and arithmetic music theory (pub. articles in Journal of Music Theory, Perspectives of New Music, and Music Theory Online; presented papers at various conferences, including the American Mathematical Society & the Society for Music Theory and been a guest lecturer at the University of Maryland and the University of Iowa). In 2011 I retired as Senior Specialist for Contemporary Music in the Music Division of the Library of Congress where I planned and coordinated internet-, concert- and collections-related projects focused on American contemporary classical music. As a violinist, I performed semi-professionally in various orchestras and chamber ensembles for 45 years. |
