Introduction	Trained as a lawyer and a journalist, Jeff Klein spent most of his career running media businesses, newspapers, magazines, web sites; for ten years he wrote a legal advice column for the Los Angeles Times and now writes a regular column for Folio: magazine. He started his career as an entertainment attorney,then served as newsroom counsel for the LA Times, and then a senior executive at the paper. As co-founder and CEO of 101communications, a B2B publishing company, Klein was recognized for his innovative and aggressive moves to the web. Klein now teaches a graduate course at USC's Annenberg School on Media Business Strategies.
