IntroductionI am Elizabeth, and I have always been comfortable in my own skin. That is not to say there are not things I would like to improve upon, but mostly, I am who I am meant to be. There are interests, traits, and characteristics I have, but they don't define me, they just provide a little insight into the things I might like or do. I could say that I am a loner who can enjoy time alone as much as I can enjoy time with a group of friends; or I could say I am a Black Woman, or I could say there are things I am not (creative, I can expound on creativity, I just for the most part, am not creative) but those are just characteristics. I think most of us are who we are because of the environment (home) we were raised in, more so than because of our gender (I don't think I would feel any different if I were a male, I would just have a different genetic make up), race, ethnicity, or nationality. In general though, as people, I believe we are who we are, words can never truly tell you who or what a person is, they merely provide, as I stated before, a little insight. If you truly want to know who a person is, you’ll have to get to know them. Even then, you may truly never know someone.

Favorite booksI have read so many books, from so many different genres over the years, that I don't really have favorites, Toni Morrison, is probably my favorite writer, but I also like, Maya Angelou, Sharyn McCrumb, Tony Hillerman, and God. Then there are books such as The Great Gatsby, or one I read at seven or eight (I can no longer remember the title) that I still feel a little affected by, but mostly, except for the Bible, I can only read a book once. Once I know how it ends, that is it.
