Introduction	I am married to a wonderful man and a mother of two boys. My oldest is mentally ill and my youngest is just fine...if that is how you would describe a teen anyway! I am a Registered Nurse by profession and I also work with mentally ill adults. I also attend school full time chasing after my Bachelors in Nursing Science degree. My goal on this site is to expand awareness of a disease that holds no value and needs so much attention. We all know someone who suffers from some degree of mental illness. It's those who are severely affected that bear the brunt of the downcast nod from society. It is a physical brain disorder, not a disease that anyone wants, or conjurs up, but a serious medical ailment that requires medical intervention and compassion.
