| Introduction | I don't work for a living. I write. There's no heavy lifting, but it isn't always easy either though words have been my life for more than 40 years. Come February, I retire from daily journalism in Georgia after 35 years with the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer. I will contribute two columns a week although my fulltime gig will be www.richardhyattcolumbus.com, a local news/opinion Website that debuts in February. I will also spend time finishing my twelvth book, hoping to have it in bookstores by November 2008. Writing still mystifies me after all these years, and I know it fascinates those of you who believe you have stories to tell. Through this blog, we'll discuss the art of writing. Along the way we'll come to learn the difference between write and wrong. |
