| Introduction | I have been a high school teacher for half of my life. I was born in Los Angeles, grew up in San Jose, started my teaching career in Monterey, lived for 17 years in rural Tennessee, and moved back to Central California in 2000. I have three daughters who have grown into beautiful, intelligent women. I'm at a turning point in my life right now--it feels very much like when I graduated from college as a 22 year old. I'm not sure where I'm headed next, but I'm filled with the same sense of excitement, fear, and adventure. This is a most interesting time. Anything is possible. |
