| Introduction | I was born and raised in the south, Virginia actually. It's a beautiful state and we are lucky enough to live between the mountains and the ocean. My life revolves around wildly loving my wonderful husband, Bobby of 19 years, surviving the upcoming exit of my cherished and adored only girl child, Laura, to college next fall and missing my 32 year old neice, Lisa, who lives in Boston and takes us to the coolest places to eat when we are there, we consider Lisa our other girl. I am a computer nut, and work from home. I have a very blessed life. |
| Interests | I love, love, love cookbooks, especially community and church cookbooks. My house is filled with cookbooks from around the country, other countries and so very many church/community books. I truly love them. I think the best recipes are ones tried and approved by family and friends. My mom is the 3rd youngest child of my grandparents brood of 12! I have 29 first cousins, so you can imagine the size of my family...or maybe you can't! Mom is 88 and calls me a "mid-life" baby, a surprise for sure, since my brother, my only sibling, is 17 years older than me. My mom is the best cook I know. Cooking was such a part of growing up for me that I was making eclairs and home made onion rings when I was 10. I love the cooking blogs I've come across on the Internet and just can't get enough of searching for great recipes. I welcome your favorite recipes as well. |
