Introduction	I began writing when my fourth grade teacher told me that she liked my autobiography, and I'm still doing the thing that I love. I like to write about travel, the outdoors, and people who are doing something special or different, or who are coping with difficult situations. I live in historic Grayton Beach, Florida, a small village in Florida's panhandle. The funky little village is said to be the home of nice dogs and strange people. Flanked by a state park on the east and west sides, and the emerald green Gulf of Mexico to the south, this community is a little piece of paradise. Grayton Beach is one of the oldest communities in the panhandle.
