| Introduction | As a Wounded Warrior Project Alumni and a disabled veteran, I understand whole heartily how frustrating so many aspects of civilian life can be. Veteran Affairs can bring out the worse of people. Stereotyping of disabled veterans and the misunderstanding of PTSD can be frustrating. I am currently pursuing psychology but most importantly specializing in military related trauma. After being the medic/patient in Brooks Army Medical Center that everyone went to to vent about what they have experienced and now being the "old" veteran that has experienced a multitude of situations from the VA, I feel that veterans deserve answers that no one else gives them. Or at least the knowledge to build up the courage to fight this battle at the homefront. |
