| Introduction | Michael is 46, he writes poetry. Drawing on the good, the bad and the ugly of drink, rehab and South America, he loves poems almost as much as his 5 year old son Salvador. Ten years ago Michael was living in Peru after a six month stint in a Bristol rehab. The Andes seemed to be the ideal place to go after a lifetime drinking in Swindon. Along with his Peruvian wife Esther he created Cusco's finest vegetarian restaurant 'Moni'. Along with his Peruvian wife Esther he created Swindon's finest vegetarian 'Salvador'. Michael likes Charles Simic, Charles Bukowski, Nick Cave, Anne Sexton and Cesar Vallejo. Michael also likes Paula Rego, Brown Hares and David Lynch, all of whom inspire his poetry, sometimes all at the same time. Swindon based poet. Published in BlueGate Poets 2009 anthology.
