Introduction	If you were able to retire and do whatever you wanted, still fit enough to drive at least 4 hours a day and squat to pee when facilities were nowhere in sight, adventurous enough to camp in remote areas, unsqueamish about public showers, unafraid to talk to strangers or drive on unfamiliar roads - some of them unpaved, then you might do what I'm doing. Family and friends who know me really well were not surprised when I announced my retirement at age 64, bought a van, a big tent and a cot, and set out on a rambling journey with frequently changing destinations and timelines.
