Introduction As a child, I always dreamed of being a teacher. My dream followed me through high school where I worked at several Children’s Camps and helped with the Children’s Ministries at my church. When it came time for me to graduate from high school, I had no doubt about what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I knew I had been called to be a teacher. My love for children brought me to WES in the Spring of 2003 where I did my practicum. I returned to WES in the Fall, where I student taught in 3rd grade with Mrs. Rankin. In December 2003, I graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. Having fallen in love with Westminster Elementary, I decided this was the place where I wanted to continue my dream of being a teacher. In August 2008, I graduated from Clemson University with a Masters Degree in Special Education. As a teacher, my job can be overwhelming at times, but I truly know that this is the place where I am meant to make a difference in the lives of children. Each day as I walk in to a classroom filled with 17 smiling faces, my “calling” is to touch as many lives as possible.
