| Introduction | Basically, I am an extroverted people-person. I LOVE people! I am very maternal and empathetic...a nurturer..I get charged helping others with anything! I have strong convictions but I have to try not to be too opinionated. I love to talk! (Hence the blog..) but my favorite thing to do is to listen while others express their fears, concerns, problems, etc. and it makes me feel wonderful if I can offer some help somehow. I am very detailed oriented and observant. I am intuitive and tend to "soak up" or "sponge" others problems (maybe too much!) People tend to open up to me which I like..i am truly interested! I am a registered nurse and I have practiced on and off for 28 years. My specialty is intensive care in cardiac medicine and surgery. I started out in 1982 in Houston, Texas recovering Dr. Denton Cooley's by-pass heart patients. At that time he was "by-passing" up 40 heart patients PER DAY! That is when my love for heart surgery began...that led to an increased interest in general heart health. I have run out of word space so I will post a message on how my interest in fitness began... |

| Favorite music | Almost all classic Rock and Roll particularly from the 70's, Jazz, Blues, Reggae, and at times classical. I like some classic country as well but country is my least fav in general... |
| Favorite books | Too many to name! (You think my movie list was long?) Anything by Mary Karr or Susan Gilmore, Inspirational books, Memoirs/autobiographies; I am drawn more to Fact than Fiction, however, there are certainly some great fictional novels out there! |
