| Introduction | Stephanie Vandrick grew up in Canada, India, and Michigan. She has been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for most of her adult life; she teaches at the University of San Francisco. She is the author, co-author, or co-editor of four academic books and numerous journal articles. Her most recent book is "Growing Up with God and Empire: A Postcolonial Analysis of 'Missionary Kid' Memoirs" (Multilingual Matters, 2019). She is married and has an adult daughter and two wonderful grandchildren. She has been an avid reader since childhood. In this blog she writes about what she has read recently, her favorite books and authors, bookstores, libraries, her experiences related to reading, and other reading-related topics.
