Introduction	When my last child graduated from college, my wonderful husband told me I could quit my job, stay home and write full time. Over the last thirty years I have written for others, starting a community newspaper, doing articles for different school functions, and helping put together a newsletter for the non-profit where I was employed. Now, I write for me. Four novels, several short stories and even some articles for a local magazine are icons spread across my desktop. I visit each every day, fixing the pace, plot and POV. Recently, I attended the Florida Writer's Conference in Orlando and came away with a renewed energy as well as some wonderful tools to help with my writing. This blog will be compiled into a book entitled "Freedoms After Fifty", written in an Erma Bombeck-like style, highlighting the ups and downs that my friends and I are experiencing in this new phase of our lives.
