Introduction | Manteiga Voadora are two portuguese words that, translated word by word, mean Butter and Flying. It started as a nickname because i'm passionate with butterflies but, as my other passions (fashion and handcrafts) grew into me aswell, it became the label for a original, creative, unique and romantic handmade jewlery. I'm currently a Fashion Design & Textiles Student, so i try to accomplish my creativity and my experience in the fashion industry through this hobbie of mine. My accessories are mostly made of Polymer Clay, a material that i love for the endless possibilities to express creativity that it provides, but i also like to mix it with other materials such as coloured wire, felt, patterned textiles, beads, pearls and others. Somethimes i like to play with materials and create from what most people call "waste". Some call it "recycling", but i like to think of it as a "regeneration" of the materials. Describe my artwork is a dificult task. Has a "Artist Wannabe" i am still trying to discover myself and my style...i still have so much to learn... |
