| Introduction | I am a single mom of three of the most amazing kids in the world. I am a student at OSU and will graduate in June (if I survive. I have a deep interest in helping people, I want my job to matter and make a different in the lives of children. I will graduate with a degree in Elementary Education and one in Human Development and Family Studies/with a focus on early childhood. Neither will lead me to a fortune, but hopefully a local job will be waiting form that will place me in a position to improve the lives of many. I am currently beginning a journey to improved health. I have struggled with several medical conditions in the past 8 years or so the most challenging has been fibromyalgia/chronic fatigue syndrome. Trying to tackle both of those issues while returning to school as a single parent has been very difficult. That is why I am trying to improve my health. Improving my health will lead to a higher quality of life and energy left over for my family after working all day. It will also help me to set a better example in taking care of myself for both my children and my future students. |
| Interests | My biggest interests are anything my kids are doing, I love to watch them play sports and support them in anything else they want to try such as playing an instrument or taking voice lessons. I love to watch Beaver football and am a fan of the Baltimore Ravens and pretty much any other NFL team with a former beaver on the squad. I love going to the beach, playing in the sun and water. I enjoy traveling. When I graduate from school, I will find many other hobbies including taking care of my yard and enjoying many beautiful flowers. I will look to do many home improvement projects that include interior designing and hopefully expanding into my garage for a game room and adding a covered front porch to put a porch swing on. I enjoy driving my car and spending time with friends/family just talking, having a BBQ, playing board games, and just creating memories! I am a christian with a deep love of God. I need to make the time to improve my relationship with him and would love to find a church and develop great friendships within that church...hopefully sooner rather than later. My biggest goal in life is to help my kids develop a deep relationship with Christ as well (although I haven't done near as well at that as I would like). |
| Favorite movies | I love romantic comedies (Mama Mia, Sleepless in Seattle), suspense/mystery (Sherlock Holmes) and I loved Star Wars and Twilight. Many others, usually it is just nice to take a break for a couple of hours and get taken away to another land for a time. |
| Favorite music | I pretty much like any genre of music, the one exception is probbly opera and even that is better than no music:) My favorite is Christian praise songs and country. |
| Favorite books | Rooms, Quinn (there were two others in the series with Quinn, but can't think of them). My favorite genre is suspens/romance and historical fiction. |
