You have to dig a hole to China. Where do you start?

Start approximately 6 inches north of the China/Mongolia border. Dig approximately 6 inches down, then redirect digging operations southward. Continue for at least one foot, then redirect digging upward. Avoid digging from Tibet, Vietnam, Korea, Nepal or India. In these places, the ground is too hard, the authorities are a pain in the ass or the pre-dig climbing is too much work.
