| Introduction | Kombanwa mina-san! Good evening all! Boku wa Jeremi desu! I'm Jeremy! Jyu-roku sai desu I'm a kiwi (born and raised), and live in Porirua, New Zealand (It's located near the bottom of the North Island). My interests include: Anything Japanese, Chemistry, Biology, Human genetics, Physics, Mathmatics, Anime and writing / creative writing. I have a brother (21), who no longer lives with us. My current household includes me, my black labrador , and my mum. I'm not a sporty person, nor am I creative ARTISTICALLY/MUSICALLY, I'm more of an academic who prefers studying to the outdoors, or painting. Ah, I do have an evil hobby of gaming, though. Japan plays an absolutely huge role in my life, it influences many of my decisions! I'm simply obsessed with Japan, I could talk about it forever! I love its culture, cuisine, society, etc! I'm absolutely stoked for my exchange to Japan in 2011, I can't wait! |
| Interests | Japan! Japan is amazing! Everything about Japan appeals to me, its culture, its language, its cuisine, its society, its music, literally everything! Japan is most certainly a driving force in a lot of the decisions I make :D. Bloggin' and creative writing are also very interesting to me. So, you can quite aptly see that this blog is an awesome integration of a lot of my interests! Though, science is also a major interest for me, too. Specifically Bio-medicine, Human genetics. I plan to do bio-medicine in Japan :). |
| Favorite movies | Memoirs of a geisha, renai shashin, letters from Iwo Jima. I also have an interest in sci-fi movies/programmes such as Battle star Galactica, Stargate SG-1 etc! |
| Favorite music | J`Rock, J`Pop, it's probably the only music I listen to! I love Japanese music Some of my favorite Japanese singers/bands include Asian Kung-fu Generation, The GazeTTe, Jero, Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, etc! Check them out too if you're interested in hearing some awesome J-music! |
| Favorite books | I absolutely love Memoirs of a Geisha, one of the best books in existence. Though, so far my top, honors award goes to The Road by Cormac McCarthy, it's an awesome post-apocalyptic book, google it! |
