| Introduction | Are you a first time mom with birth jitters and questions or an experienced mom with a new desire and vision for this upcoming birth? I would love to speak with you. Each birth is special and unique and I believe that a caring touch and attitude along with creativity, knowledge and faith in a woman’s inner resources can make a women’s birth experience safe, joyous and fulfilling. As a Birth Doula I provide physical, emotional, and informational support to women and their partners during labor and birth. This includes prenatal phone support, a prenatal home visit (a good time to practice comfort measures), my complete and undivided attention throughout labor and delivery, post delivery breastfeeding assistance and a postpartum home visit. I grew up on a farm, the second of eight children. I have always loved babies, the baby animals, as well as my baby sisters and brothers. But it was not until I had my own three babies that I realized my calling was to the birthing community as a provider of Women-to-Woman care and a friend and guardian of mommies and babies during this blessed, simple miracle – birth. |
