| Introduction | Ben Vidgen is the editor of DEADLINE, a popular cafe based monthly magazine, in Otago NZ. In 2006 Bene authored State Secrets II: Return Fire, which looks at NZ links to arms trafficking and terrorism. Known purchasers of the book included NZ Parliamentary Library, Defence HQ's Massey University, the NZ Parlimentary Library and NZ embassy in China. In 1999 Ben wrote, the best seller, State Secrets which looked at organised crime and espionage in NZ, the Pacific. The book forecast the proliferation of small arms in the region and the growth of corruption. Ben has a degree in Political Science from Canterbury University. Ben spent six years in the NZ Army Royal Artillery; signals and artillery intelligence plus attachment to Force Intelligence Group (field and counter intelligence postings) 2 Cants Infantry. |
