| Introduction | When I first started cooking, I was in my twenties and I started from scratch. (Did you see what I did there?) I learned little by little, here and there, and realized that cooking is really pretty basic when you boil it down (did you see...okay...I will stop with the bad puns). I learned to cook as a basic method of sorts; once you can make a basic version of something, then you can make it any way you want to...and that's when it gets fun! I am not sure what my style of cooking is, but I try my best to lighten up recipes and cook as healthy as possible. I am big on seasonal cooking and enjoying the freshest produce/herbs/etc. that each season has to offer. I try to rely mostly on the flavor of the ingredients themselves and not so much on salt or fat. I am garlic's biggest fan. I like (some) things pretty spicy, and I love playing with combinations of textures and flavors. And of course, it has to look pretty too. To me, cooking is an art that involves all of the senses. It appeals to my creative side while also fulfilling a very basic need: to eat! And if you have to eat, then why not make it delicious...right? |

| Favorite movies | There are way too many for me to pick, but rounding out the top of the list are definitely The Dark Knight, V for Vendetta, and Die Hard. |
| Favorite music | Much like movies, I am into a lot of kinds of music, pretty much anything with substance...it really doesn't matter what genre (or language). |
