Introduction | Having had spiritual inclinations at a young age and breaking out of the confines of my familial religion at around 20, I began to explore eastern spiritual principles. I got bogged down with making a living for a while but finally returned in earnest to my love of spirituality in a grounded way through the vehicle of Polarity Therapy. This course of study included a small yoga component and my heartfelt career began. I learned much at this time about the body and its subtle energies. Subsequently I stumbled upon Godfrey Devereux's book Dynamic Yoga. This was a watershed for me. The book spoke with such clarity and succinctness that it shown brightly against a plethora of yoga books that were mired in ethereal speculation and often little practical experience. I studied with Godfrey for his 500 hr certification. I now teach yoga in Taos, NM where I have a small studio, Ananda Yoga Studio. I have many friends and students back in Atlanta where I used to teach. I look forward to operating a philanthropic program to feed, clothe, house and educate poor children. |
