About me

Introduction	For this project it is my intention to interview and photograph small groups of youth from various socio-economic backgrounds and age demographics that have seen the movie,'Lage Raho Munnabhai' encouraging them to explain their understanding of 'Gandhigiri' and any experiences of it in action. I'm curious to find out how much Gandhi's non-violent teachings or 'Satyagraha' are discussed in their schools and create a dialogue on the modern day relevance of Satyagraha and it's possible global implications. I will also hand out blank postcards for people to draw or make visual representations of 'Gandhigiri'and return to me. I'm also hoping to visit the Institute in Pune devoted to Gandian thought and research and the Sevagram Ashram in Nagpur to see his famous spectacles and spinning wheel, on which he used to spin 200 yards of yarn daily.
