| Introduction | The self-described "Libertarian Beast of Metro East" resides in the People's Republic of Illinois where he labors in the private sector under the watchful eye of his indolent, public sector masters. Never bitter and ever the optimist, Amerigo actually believes in the American Dream in spite of his progressive education and preponderance of leftist friends. Amerigo believes that freedom and opportunity trump entitlement and sloth every day of the week. Amerigo has travelled the world and seen with his own eyes what happens when freedom and opportunity are sacrificied for the "greater good". He finds it most ironic that the noble hearted communists had to build walls to keep their people in and that so called men of the people like Castro rule over a people willing to risk being eaten alive by sharks to have an opportunity, to have freedom. Upon returning from his travels Amerigo became determined, not only to chase the American dream himself, but to try his damnedest to stoke the coals of liberty where he may, armed only with reason and a knack (some would say a curse) for seeing things as they actually are. |
