| Introduction | I am a city girl finally returned to my rural roots! I once told my grandmother that I wish I could have lived in her era when life was 'simplified'. She responded that I only want to because I have a choice. The farming life wasn't a choice for her, but a means of suvival for her and her family. I respect the hard work that put food on the table and clothes on the back- a characteristic that's easily forgotten. My family, gardening, canning, sewing, crafting and 'treasure' hunting are a few ways I pass my time. I am the greenest conservative you will ever meet, repurposing most anything I can get my hands on! I strive to raise my children to be happy, responsible, accountable, empathetic, self reliant, creative, contributing, patriotic, God fearing Americans. I value treasures, realities and stories of time past and hope to pass these traits on to my next generation. |
