IntroductionI am a stay at home mother of 2 energetic boys, one with a nut allergy.  I have recently launched my own business, www.allergyapparel.com River, my inspiration, is almost 4 and attends a preschool that seems to be hosting a special occasion at least once a month.  He is the first at his preschool to have a severe nut allergy, so we have been working these past few years to educate his school, staff, and other parents. When we attend school, special occasions, such as birthday parties, visit grandparents, or need to remind a babysitter we wear a shirt to remind the caretaker(s).  The shirts and hoodies are fun, functional, and educational.  Why skulls and crossbones? Other than the cool factor, they are reminder that nuts, wheat, eggs, dairy, gluten, shellfish, and other foods, can also be poison to a child. They raise awareness and can be life saving. I love the designs so much that I also created them without an allergy, especially nifty for the siblings.
InterestsMy children, running, cycling, allergy apparel.
