| Introduction | My adventure with NDNU began in the fall of 08 in the Liberal Studies Program and will be going into the credential program for a elementary certification in the Fall of 2011. I have always had a passion to be in a classroom working with children and making a difference in their educational experience. Since coming to CA I have been working in the corporate industry, and know it’s time to get back into a field that I really enjoy. I have three wonderful children and two grandchildren and have been living in CA for little over ten years and couldn't imagine living anywhere else. I also volunteer for Special Olympics, track and field. The athletes remind me weekly that relaxing, having fun and being able to enjoy being who you are are key components to enjoying life. I also enjoy volunteering at the Second Harvest Food Bank in San Carlos, sorting donated food, boxing the food and interacting with other volunteers from the area. I think one of the grandest moments in our life is when we find what we really enjoy doing, and we are able to make a living doing it. |
| Interests | My interest are family, volunteering in my community, hiking, biking, quilting, and traveling. |
| Favorite movies | I enjoy any movie that is surrounded with comody, action or romance...but refuse to watch a horror movie...why would anyone willingly want to be scared! |
| Favorite music | Give me any musice that is not hard rock and I am open to listening to it...but my favorite artist would be The All American Rejects, Boston, Brooks & Dunn, Carole King, Chicago, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Daniel Powter, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Gretchen Wilson, Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Lady Antebellum, Melissa Ethridge, Michael Franti, New Radicals, Remedy Drive, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, Santana, Sara Evans, The Script, Shery Crow, Sinead O'Connor, Tim McGraw, Train, Uncle Cracker, Young D.C.& Ziggy Marley...just to name a few! |
| Favorite books | Reading is such a wide range, but some of the readings I have enjoyed are the Alcamist (pretty much anything by Paulo Coelho), Change your thoughts change your life (pretty much anything by Wayne Dyer),but right now with the majority of my time reading required class reading my leisure reading has been put on hold... |
The squish of mud between your toes; how would you live your life as a frog?
First of all frogs have web feet, so they won't get mud between their toes. Second, they are light enough that they don't sink in the mud and third, what's wrong with playing the mud ~
