| Introduction | My name is Mary Lee McIlvaine, and I live in New York City & Moorestown, NJ. My work has a sense of whimsy, romance, and purity. As a child I loved drawing and acting, I must admit I was sweet, shy and very much of a daydreamer. I was told that I should snap out of it. (my Mother believed in my art, but teachers where brutal) I guess I wasn't a very good listener too, because I sure didn't listen to them. Being true to myself and knowing something in me was special paid off. I am so blessed that I love what I do and that what I do supports who I am. I listened to the soft whispers.
