| Introduction | This blog is a result of months of toying with the idea and well, years of experience in Living History. While studying for my degree in History at UW-Stevens Point with an affinity for European and East Asian History, never did I believe my passion would turn to American History – specifically Wisconsin History. Now, after over 20 years as a historic interpreter at Old World Wisconsin living history museum, I find myself a perpetual student of women’s history & material culture in the Victorian era. I invite you to travel with me to the Victorian and Edwardian eras. See these eras through Women's History, Wisconsin Ethnic History, Lace, Period Clothing (vintage and reproduction), Period Foodways, and Other Victorian Miscellany... Additionally, I thank you for respecting the period images which are being shared here and originating from our private collection. Although not a vast collection, my husband and I have accumulated it starting the late 1980s. We are sharing these photos here, but have watermarked them to protect them. We kindly thank you for respecting our private collection by not publishing these images. |
