| Introduction | I am a new media artist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, songwriter, performer, recording/sound artist, teacher and community cultural development worker. I have worked consistently, solo and in collaboration with diverse artists to create recorded, performance and installation work which challenge the boundaries between art forms, genres, cultures and performative traditions. I have facilitated world drum circles in diverse contexts since 1996. I have developed a rhythm and drumming program which encourages and honors diversity in all it's forms | cultural- abilities- age- experience. It works to bring people together and give them a powerful experience of music and group communication. It works in all contexts from community to corporate to health, social and educational organisations. My recently released singer song writer album, under the project name Mahri Autumn 'ri-solv', is gaining airplay, including ABC radio national and is being featured on blogs and radio internationally. I have just released my second album 'Betwixt' - an instrumental compilation of work produced for theatre, dance and cross artform work 2000-2010 |
