Introduction I've been involved with leading the development of instructional resources for the Web since 1996. The first project I was assigned was to create an online contest that was initially called the Innovation Engine Competition and later changed to the Master Webster Competition. It ran for three years and gave cash awards totaling over $33K each year. I was also part of a team responsible for the development of Cyber Oregon Online School (COOLSchool) an online high school that was initially called Cyberschool and created by Tom Layton and Jack Turner from the Eugene 4J school district in 1995. It was the first online high school in the country. I later served d as its principal for 5 years. COOLSchool closed in June of 2009. I've been teaching this course for PSU since 2007 and have enjoyed the challenge of trying to keep up with how quickly things continually change in the creation and delivery of content. What I hope to accomplish in this course is for you to experience an increased appreciation for the many 'tools' at your disposal, an opportunity for you to play around with some of them, and to leave with a better understanding of your abilities to develop and publish content.
