About me

IntroductionFor more than 500 years, Hempshill Hall and the attached farm have stood on this site, the last piece of green land on this edge of Nottingham. In March 2012, a planning application was submitted to Broxtowe Borough Council to build 139 houses on the fields surrounding Hempshill Hall. This will destroy the last vestige of green between Nottingham city centre and the continuous housing development way past Eastwood. There will be nowhere left for locals to walk their dogs, for children to go sledging when it snows, no views, no open space, just some characterless modern housing surrounded by a 2 metre high wooden fence. As residents of the area or as caring neighbours, we want to preserve this last open green field space.
