| Introduction | Two days after graduating from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, I was sitting in an empty apartment in Harlingen Texas, ready to start my first post-grad job. I have worked at several publications - The Athens News, Warren Tribune-Chronicle, The Post at Ohio University - prior to my current job as a crime reporter at the Valley Morning Star. But I had never covered crime. This blog will be used to demonstrate my evolution as a reporter and as a grownup away from Ohio for the first time. I will post clips from my job, essays on topics including but not limited to lifestyle, the National Basketball Association, my puppy Dora and my current clash with culture. |
