Introduction	Hi, I'm Amanda. I teach writing, speaking and teaching at MIT. I'm neither scientist nor engineer, though. If I'm anything, it's translator/interpreter, polyglot, gardener and ceramicist, mixed together in ways that aren't always tidy. I teach the writing component of world and western music classes, and am fortunate to have spent a great deal of time, at work and away from it, with musicians. I've loved to cook for as long as I can remember. I see cooking as one of many ways to learn about humans and why we are how we are.
