| Introduction | I watched enough of the food network to think I wanted to be part of the culinary industry. So, I quit my 9-5 government job and paid a million dollars to attend Le Cordon Bleu. Somewhere between the excitement of school and the realization that my new hours were going to suck, I decided that actually working IN the culinary industry wasn't really going to work out for me. Since I love the culinary industry but don't actually want to work in it, I figured the only place for me within that world is to experience all the great food and culture I can, and share a little bit of that with everyone else. My partner (don't be some heteronormative...straight people can use this term too) and I recently decided our lives wouldn't be complete if we didn't live in Portland, so here we are....enjoying the tastes and sounds of Southeast Portland. |
