| Introduction | Driving overland from Deadhorse, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina is something we talked about doing. Finally, we (Sharon, Jack and family pets (Amadeus and Ewok)) were in en-route to the Artic Circle to begin. While it was hard to leave the Bay Area behind – the excitement of driving the Pan-American Highway through North America (Canada, United States and Mexico), Central America (Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama) and South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile and Argentina) took charge. We discovered many great places, met wonderful people and enjoyed some wonderful wine and great food. After completing the "Las América's" route Sharon has continued "the search for the perfect hot springs or spa and great wine and food from Las Américas and beyond" through spaswinefood.blogspot.com. |
